Lucy & Tim booked me for their wedding about a year before the wedding day, we met up for several meetings and each time a few more facts would come out about the day and I started to realise that it was going to be one of those weddings that will keep me on my feet and thinking 5 steps in front instead of the usual 3.
St Marys for me has to be one of the best churches for photography it has it all, good architecture, good lighting even if it has very mixed types, and an upstairs balcony for the 2nd photographer to get some killer shots
I started the day with Hair and Make up by Lynsey of Isle of Wight Beauty at Lucys parents house, here we had a really good laugh and got some good shots.
Whilst all the bridesmaids were being sorted I shot the details such as the flowers and dress.
Then it was back to Lucy and the exciting part of the day........... THE DRESS....
Final touch ups
So that was Lucy sorted and ready to go, I then headed off to the church in Cowes with Lucinda who was second shooting for me at this wedding.
One of the parts of the day that I had been looking forward to was the 30 strong band of singers that Tim had brought over to the Island for the ceremony, Tim is a conductor in his spare time and had also wrote a song for his wife to be that was sung in the church.
Tim wondering where Lucy might be...... unfortunately the car would not start at first so lucy was a little late.
I did say a little prayer and hope the videographers tripod would fall over but no such luck, all the major shots had the tripod or him in the picture!
Luckily it is not an Island based video company other wise we would have had problems...lol
And then it was off to Northwood House for a fantastic reception followed by an evening of dancing.
Lucys first look at the decorated reception room.
Tim had also wrote a love song to Lucy that he sung to her with part of his choir providing backing it was such a wonderful and moving part of the day.
The end to a superb day was the live band that came down from London and played until 1pm
